Christian Church of Woodland (Disciples of Christ) is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible and welcoming to everyone, including people with disabilities. As a congregation that believes everyone belongs, we want this commitment reflected in how we communicate online, not only in person.

 Our Commitment

We aim to provide a website that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all visitors, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access it. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely recognized standard for web accessibility.

Measures We Take

Our website is built and hosted on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features, including keyboard navigation support, screen-reader compatibility, and adjustable color contrast tools. We aim to:

  • Provide descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images

  • Use clear headings and a logical page structure.

  • Ensure links and navigation menus can be used with a keyboard.

  • Offer multiple ways to reach and worship with us, including in-person attendance and livestreamed services.

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Despite our best efforts, some pages, embedded third-party content (such as Facebook livestreams, Google Forms, or the Givelify donation platform), or older documents may not yet be fully accessible. We are continuing to review and improve our website over time.
